Our Founder

Remya Aravamuthan is the founding member of the firm and brings with her a distinguished international legal career. She was first admitted to the Bar in India as an Advocate in 1993 and subsequently called to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2008. Having migrated to Singapore in 1999, she became one of the pioneers to be registered as a foreign practitioner in the country. In Singapore, she practiced with leading law firms, including Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP (formerly Rodyk & Davidson LLP) and Rajah & Tann LLP.

In 2012, Remya was called to the Singapore Bar. She went on to establish the firm in 2015 under the name Remya A Law Practice. She serves as an Associate Mediator and  Collaborative Law Practitioner at the Singapore Mediation Centre, Parenting Coordinator and Trained Therapeutic Justice Lawyer at the Family Justice Court of Singapore.

The Firm

In 2023, Benjamin Khoh joined the firm as Deputy Head and led a comprehensive corporate restructuring, rebranding, and expansion initiative. He was also appointed General Counsel, overseeing the firm’s regulatory compliance, management functions, risk assessment, and strategic direction. This transformation culminated in the firm’s reconstitution as High Street Chambers LLC in 2025. The name draws inspiration from the firm’s office at High Street, City Hall—where Benjamin first began his journey with the practice—strategically located directly opposite the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Since its founding in 2015 as a litigation specialist, the firm has consistently represented clients before the Supreme Court of Singapore in highly contentious and high-stakes matters. It has played a pivotal role in shaping the legal landscape through its involvement in landmark cases—many of which continue to stand as authoritative precedent today.

Today, the firm is dedicated to delivering fuss-free, practical solutions, exceptional client care, and consistently high-quality legal work. The firm frequently collaborates with leading external Senior Counsel to ensure that clients benefit from top-tier expertise across all areas of practice. Its team adopts a strategic, solutions-driven approach tailored to the unique complexities of each matter, and employs a range of dispute resolution methods—including litigation, arbitration, and mediation—to help clients achieve their objectives with efficiency and clarity.
